Ownsworth Rapeseed Oil

Ownsworths home grown rape seed oil has great taste and a subtle earthy, nutty, but not overpowering flavour, which makes it a really versatile addition to many recipes, cooking processes and meals. Mixed with balsamic vinegar the softness of the oil makes a beautiful salad dressing. It is also fantastic for cooking with a high smoking point and works well with stir fries and makes tremendous roast potatoes. It can also be used for baking cakes, bread and homemade mayonnaise.

Their rape seed oil is high in vitamin E and half the saturated fat of olive oil. It is also rich in health omega 3, 6 and 9 and contains no preservatives, is trans fat and GM free.
Ownsworths rape seed oil is simply extracted from the rape seed (which is grown on their farm) by the process of gently squeezing it only once and then filtered to remove and impurities. There are no chemicals or bleaches added to hinder the natural colour and taste of the oil. There is nothing added or taken away giving a completely pure product.
